About the Journal

Journal Ekonomichna ta Sotsialna Geografiya (title in Ukrainian - Економічна та соціальна географія) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that has been published since 1966. It focuses on current issues in both the theoretical and empirical aspects of human geography. In particular, the journal's scope covers economic, social, and cultural geography; behavioural and perceptual geography; regional science and policy; spatial planning; geo-demographics and labour market developments; environmental issues; and contemporary spatial transformations. The journal also publishes scientific reviews, as well as reports on prominent scholars and educators, significant historical dates, and notable academic events.

The journal’s geographical coverage is not limited; however, special attention is given to Ukraine as a primary subject of investigation.

The journal’s mission is to promote the dissemination of geographic knowledge and thinking and to provide an effective platform for academic exchange among geographers in Ukraine and abroad. It is intended for researchers, university lecturers, postgraduate students, employees of planning and forecasting institutions, and anyone interested in the latest fundamental and applied advances in the field of human geography.
