Abstract

The article provides the analysis of endowment of the Middle Dnieper region residents with places (recreation facilities and recreation complexes) for organizing a short-term recreation near water. This work bases on a preliminary research of the authors: identifying preferences and peculiarities for Middle Dnieper region inhabitants regarding outdoor recreation. The indicators of population distribution in the Middle Dnieper region are compared with the allocation of facilities and complexes for short-term recreation near water. On this grounds, within the studied region there were identified areas with unsatisfied needs in places for a short-term recreation near water. The author proposes attractive places near water bodies where necessary facilities and complexes for recreation may be constructed, and showes specific examples of problems with bathing facilities near settlements.
